English 10 is a critical course component of school improvement plan. All English 10 students complete English End of Course Assessment, which is a determinant of Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) for the school and district. Data results affect students, teachers, and school accountability. The Eight Step Process was adopted to facilitate students' optimal course/skills development and achievement for ECA Success. Success Periods were implemented to provide divergent instructional delivery to allow students and teachers exposure to all English 10 students/teachers, i.e., gifted, regular, special needs. The Success Periods also afforded teachers team teaching planning opportunities.
